The opportunity

​Our client is a large multinational operating across 100+ countries.

The organization is currently looking to hire a seasoned privacy professional in Europe to join their high performing, innovative global privacy team. 
 
In this key senior-level role, you will
  • Work with other team members to build, manage and improve the Company’s privacy program
  • Lead global privacy initiatives and programs and serve as a subject matter expert for those initiatives and programs
  • Work closely with business to identify and address potential privacy issues and develop solutions (including use of privacy by design)
  • Develop and oversee metrics and dashboards; review results with leadership and local colleagues to drive improvements
  • Identify and communicate information about emerging privacy trends, laws and regulations
  • Respond to privacy inquiries (internal and external) as appropriate
  • Develop and ensure delivery of effective privacy training, education and communication to employees and others
  • Assist with investigations and incident response relating to privacy matters
  • Work with Company colleagues, legal counsel, and other related parties to represent the Company’s privacy interests with external parties (e.g., government bodies)

Your profile
  • 10+ years of experience in data protection & privacy profession
  • Privacy management experience in life sciences or healthcare
  • Excellent knowledge of and hands-on experience with US and EU privacy laws, related to the healthcare or life sciences industries
  • In-house experience working in multinational corporations at senior-level roles with regional or global scope
  • Experience with building and implementing effective privacy programs and data governance activities
  • Experience with secondary uses of healthcare data, analytics, anonymous data, de-identified data, pseudonymous data
  • Experience with  int'l data transfer mechanisms; writing policies, standards and guidance documents, conducting investigations and managing incident response and developing and delivering training and other awareness programs
  • Privacy certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E and/or CIPP/M) will be a strong asset.
