SENIOR PRIVACY MANAGER

​​Location: London, UK

An exciting career opportunity has now arisen for an experienced privacy executive to join the global privacy team of a worldwide industry leader.

Recognized for its high commitment to privacy compliance wherever it operates, this large organization is currently looking for a senior level privacy practitioner to help build, implement and maintain a world class privacy program with a particular focus on the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
 
You will lead the development, deployment and oversight of privacy focused governance and control frameworks to manage data privacy risk in a way that is appropriate to the organization's various business lines and their objectives. You will provide advice and guidance to support the regional divisions spread across 90+ countries, in particular for complex and/or higher profile business initiatives.

​Key profile requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of European privacy regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Up-to-date with the latest developments in the privacy domain globally.
  • Strong knowledge of the EU GDPR and its implications to business practices.
  • Several years of experience in roles requiring holistic management of corporate privacy programs which span across multiple jurisdictions (with focus on EMEA, EEA or EU) and support multiple business lines. Familiarity with privacy management within big data and/or B2C environments is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in a wide array of  privacy program management topics such as the development and implementation of a governance framework including controls & performance metrics, development of internal policies & guidelines, day-to-day support & guidance for all internal stakeholders for the right course of action, general / audience specific employee training and similar.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with all internal stakeholders (e.g. employees, senior management, works councils) and to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization to achieve program requirements and desired business outcomes.
  • Strong business partnering, organizational, prioritization and risk-assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation skills.
  • Relevant privacy certifications will be highly desirable (CIPP, CIPT, CIPM).
